Hi all,
About a year ago, when news of Mortal Kombat X started appearing, I decided to, for a first time ever really, avoid all news about the game in order to have as unspoiled and fresh of an experience as possible. I wanted to know nothing about the game so that when I put the disk in my PS4 I would have no expectations and everything would be new for me. For the most part I succeeded and let me tell you, it was hard. I realized I wouldn’t even be able to go to my favorite Website, TYM, or any other MK sites for that matter, because spoilers were everywhere. I went mostly to GameFaqs, but even there occasional spoilers would make their way, so I would have to quickly navigate away from them or close the site completely. I really wanted to go to a midnight release for MKX, but I realized there would be spoilers galore there, so I skipped that as well.
It was all worth it though, let me assure you. I was more excited about MKX than any other game, with the exception of MK Deadly Alliance. When I put that disk in my PS4 yesterday and I saw all the new interfaces, characters, moves, features (especially the Character Variation one), etc., the experience of a new and fresh Mortal Kombat was indescribable. It was as close to experiencing MK for the first time as possible. It reminded me, once again, why I love this game series so much. I would recommend it to all of you, if you can stick it out for a year or so, that is, which is no joke.
Anyway, the game is out, I played the crap out of it yesterday, loved every minute of it, I beat story mode and arcade mode with my favorite character, Raiden, so I am now free to come back to TYM and share in the MK experience with all of you, here and online. And btw, this new MK is awesome. It’s still very new so I am not sure where I would rank with the rest of the games, but it’d be up there with the best of them most likely. And it’s good to be back.
