How to utilize practice mode at the utmost efficency?

A very straight forward question. I am overwhelmed with all the practice options, and I feel my old method of just beating the crap out of a sandbagged AI isn't going to cut it anymore. I need to practice against dynamic targets. So I am going to post a few situations I would like to practice, and I am hoping someone out there can tell me the exact practice scenario setup I should follow so I am not stuck spinning my tires:

-Practicing cancels

-Practicing defense (blocks, counters, etc)

-Practicing combos

-Practicing approaches

-Practicing pressure

-Practicing frame traps.

I have three practice options I use:
1. Practice against a stationary target, both mid-screen and in the corner.. This is kind of my "warm-up" whenever I turn on the system.
2. Practice against the AI on "medium" or "hard".
3. The "record" option. I specifically use this after getting my ass handed to me by a certain technique (zoning Deathstroke, corner combo Superman, etc). I learn the strategy, record it, then try my damnedest to find a counter strategy.

My suggestion is abuse the "record" option.

Record is your friend! Its the best way to familiarize yourself with strings, situations and learning how to react to them.

How does the record option work?? I thought it was only for recording your combos :p can you set the A.I to use a certain string over and over?

I'm going off of memory here...
1. Go into Training. Pick your opponent (eg: Deathstroke).
2. Pause. Under "AI", select "Record".
3. You now control the second character. Spam that Deathstroke zoning!
4. Hit "select". You are now in control of your original character, while the AI re-enacts your Deathstroke zoning.
