Hey guys, I'm having trouble figuring out how to stream on Twitch.tv. I have an account there already, but when I click the link that says "First time streaming? Click here for streaming apps" nothing happens. The page reloads but no additional information is displayed. Ive tried IE9 and Firefox 9.

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Capture device: Hauppauge HD PVR Gaming Edition, connected via component cables / USB and optical audio cable.

Thanks!

Download xsplit. It's free to try, you just enter your twitch.tv credentials in the broadcast field and stream out of the program.

The learning curve on the program is really small, so you should be able to pick it up quickly.

Thanks, trying it out now! Looks like I'll need a license though if I want to just stream the PS3 output, but its not that expense.

Sao87, streaming now! http://twitch.tv/aj1701

No audio because its just doing the screen cap method, so I assume paying for a license means I could have it pull right from the Hauppauge, and I would hope that'd get the audio too.

Streaming is rather easy with a dedicated capture device, and a PC to run the software off of.

In this case, someone already mentioned xSplit, which is atm likely your best bet to go with as ALOT of people use it, and it works flawlessly. If you have any further questions aj, shoot me a PM, I can help you out further if you ever need it.

The great thing with xsplit is the different function modes too, and how you can customize your output to the channel with various boxes, banners, sponsorship logos etc to your positioning and liking. Or do a fun dual capture where part of the screen is the actual output from the system itself and game, while another is of a second device capturing your awesome gaming den and you pwnin face ;)

JukedHard, or anyone else that might be able to help, I've hit a problem with my streaming. I got a license for xSplit and then I tried adding the Hauppauge as a camera source. No joy, xSplit, while using only 20% of my cpu, becomes almost unresponsive. I also tried doing the screen cap way and got much the same result. I think it worked ok once before, but somethings not right now.
