Is there any way to kill the fire spider in the Krypt?

Just before they reach you and stop up, start swinging that hammer! However, there will always be ONE spider around, so if you've killed them all, another will immediately respawn and start walking down the hallways of the Kytinn area. So be careful.

Tip: You can kinda get out of its pathway and just wait for it to pass by hiding up against some corner walls. Most of the time it won't see you.

You’re probably not close enough.

It will actually stop when you get to touching distance, and you have about a second to swing at it

The angle is pretty forgiving, really. You just have to do it before they walk all the way up to you (since your hammer is kinda slow).

What I can’t figure out is how to avoid them when they walk up to you while you’re opening a chest. No matter what, they just come straight up to you and wait. Then as soon as you dismiss your loot screen... roasted. So damn annoying. The game should pause when you’re on that screen, damnit.
