how to beat nightwolf

mostly all players just spam the shoulder which isnt punishable.. then when u crouch and wait for them they just lightening. what is the strat to counter this?

I don't know if my strategies will apply to all characters, but at least with Kano these seem to work. If you tell me who you use I might be able to provide more specific advice.

Nightwolf Shoulder Slam can be punished, it just has a very small window of opportunity. When you expect the Shoulder (which should be hard as most Nightwolf players are very Shoulder-happy) just block and punish. Use wavedashes to bait out the shoulder and punish. Make your single priority to bait out and punish the shoulder. Before long the Nightwolf player will have to change up his strategy, and I promise you the avergae Nightwolf player won't know what to do once he can't Shoulder spam. Home that helps!

If you anticipate the shoulder, you should crouch and NOT block; this allows the shoulder to whiff and allows you to punish it with an uppercut. To escape his lightning, just jump.

yep like the poster above said, crouch without block, and everytime I get a knockdown I quick dash in then immediatly crouch, almost all nightwolfs cant help but wakeup shoulder even after eating 4 uppercuts in a row. When they finally hestitate and stop using the shoulder then get in that azz

you can always poke him out of it then go and pressure that ass. And like one of the guys above me said, justbaiy and punish!
