Throw escapes are as follows:

If being thrown with a forward throw (f+Throw), you escape with BP or BK.
If being thrown with a back throw (Throw), you escape with FP or FK.

That explains why sometimes pressing grab will break throws and other times it won't, because grab is BP & BK when not bound to a button, right?
