How Do I Use Consumables/When Is The Update?

I have no idea what exactly to press for activating multiple consumables at the same fight. In fact I get my ass kicked in towers of time and man the feels are real. Got pretty depressed that I missed a really cool noob saibot skin because I couldn't beat the darn towers. Also didn't Nrs say they are going to give us Freebies.. Koins, Time crystals, Hearts, Souls etc?

I am using playstation 4 and duelshock controller.

Equip consumables before match by pressing square on the tower screen before you fight the opponent.

Use the right analogue stick to activate. Depending on how many you have equipped it will be up, down, left or right on the stick.

Update is supposed to be early this week.

if anybody has figured out how to do this on an arcade stick I would be happy to know how ;_;
