Smarrgasm
What's a Smarrgasm?
Since the patch has added extra recovery to the MB divekick on block the trick of dashing in to do more pressure and not having to hit confirm the divekick (which is impossible) is gone.
I have been thinking of new ways to deal with this seeing as it was a super important piece of the way i played Adam. I think i have found what i was looking for. I cannot record it but i will explain it to the best of my ability.
So basically, dashing in after MB divekick on block and trying pressure should now not be something you will get away with. Most people will learn to hit you out of this until you respect it and block thus opening yourself to their pressure, mixups, etc.
Now before you could just mash dash after Ex divekick with no consequence cause you had the upper hand at all times. However, I have found a way for almost the same situation to exist but possibly even better.
What you have to do is, as soon as you do the EX divekick, input a forward dash as fast as you can.
On block, the dash should not come out but in training mode you will still see your two forward inputs.
On hit, the dash will come out and you will be able to do your combo like normal.
This also means that on block you will not lose the advantage from Ex divekick which is at least +5 if you hit the face. This means b23/b2 orbs is pretty guaranteed which means you have started your offense.
Getting this down will not be very hard and it is EXTREMELY important to the metagame now that the divekick has been changed.
*****HOW TO LEARN HOW TO DO IT*****
Set your training mode dummy to random blocking and MB divekick until you can make sure you only dash forward when it hits and stay when it blocks.
