I'm 24, live in baton rouge, la and I've been playing mk9 since about release.
I never owned an xbox or ps3 until I saw mk9 and then I bought both consoles and mk9 for them. I just fell in love with the game. It's so balanced and well made. Mk9 is THE fighting game IMO.
I main smoke, but my other characters are (from most to least played):
JC, Luis kang, ermac, scorpion, Kenshi, sub zero, Shang.
I want to give a collective thanks to everyone who posts things like frame data and also folks that keep us up to date on mk community news. I sit at work and watch match after match, livestreams, etc. This community is something special, I'm already familiar with all the big name players and I have a few favorites that I cheer for.
Even the hype and drama is cool. I've become familiar with mk jargon like salty, bodied, babied, props, etc. It's like it's own subculture of people from all over the place. That and everyone in this forum has been nice and helpful, I appreciate it.
I'm going to keep leveling up and playing offline and online, you can add me on xbox live, Somnuse. Again, props to everyone that is keepIng the game alive, whether that be players, people finding new tech, etc.
We're gonna try to put Louisiana on the map, look out!
