Two of our top 8 placers did not show. Much like season one, Brytor was able to fill a spot last minute and he walked away with an impressive 4th place. Henzzar received more of a challenge than he expected as three of his sets went all the way to game 5. JD finally revealed his new character, Possessed Kenshi. And the stink of defeat befell him like so many Kenshi players in the past. Meanwhile, Dust tier-whored his way through the bracket with Lasher Takeda.
In Loser's Finals Izzzzymode was scheduled for a runback against ATP. In a show of disrespect, ATP picked his terrible Konjurer Alien which was carried solely by random X-Ray. With ATP 2-1 it seemed Izzzzy had all but given up. He went with a hail mary and picked Killer Leatherface. He actually tied it 2-2, but ATP was unimpressed. He too switched to Killer Leatherface but the troll would blow up in his stolen face as Izzzzymode made the upset of the century and defeated ATP.
Grand Finals Henzzar (W) vs Izzzzymode (L)
We knew to expect solid play from Henzzar but the victory-high fueled Izzzzymode to a surging game 5 in Grand Finals. Unable to handle Henzzar's wild offense, Izzzzymode had to counterpick using his old main Shaolin. The move forced Henzzar to counter with GM Sub. The ice clone works people. Game 5 was a blow out of terrible proportions.
