Help?? whats my problem :(

Hey all, seeking advice.....

Starting to lose my patience with this game, based im getting tons of random inputs or moves coming out and I dont know why. I play on stick and play superman quite well..... anyway, I recently picked up batgirl and having probs. Doing down 2 leads to a standard 2, her back 2 up 3 string the 2 hit doesnt come out. Even when I tried killer frost her up 3 rarely come out.

Now im not sure if it is how im using the stick and not being accurate on the stick itself, and I dont know how I can train input accuracy. I never have this problek with supes but with batgirl her back 2 up 3 string, the up 3 wont come out. Is there a method to hold the stick that aids accuracy, ive never found a comfy position to hold it?

Or is it a case of me just not inputting accurately?? For example, I think im pressing down and the inputs show me inputting left right crouch then down. How can I input so kuch when all ik trying to do is pull the stick down??

Help!!!! How can I stop this.......

Just practice and learn how to check your timing for example in down and up moves for example if your getting a jumping move your pressing 3 too late after the up if your getting just 3 then your pressing the 3 too early there's a certain frame windows or this and usually it's tighter on up moves because of jump frames. Try practicing with kf nd do her u3 normal over and over till you get it consistently this should help you with u +x normals

Either the issue is with you, or with your joystick.

Try having someone else use the joystick in practice mode. Are they having the same issues?
Try using someone else's joystick. Are you still having issues?

2 things to help you and you will hate these suggestions but I will tell you why.

Use button up off and alternate controls.

Button up (negative edge) means that when you release a button it counts AS a button input. This is one of the culprits for getting stuff you dont want.

The other culprit is diagonal inputs and the way they are read in normal (mk9) controls. In mk9 the only motions read were up, down, left and right. But in this game motions are read up left, up, up right, right, right down, down, left down and left.

So lets assume you're green arrow. ALL you want to do is down + 1. However because you're a stick player you may accidently be holding down + back slightly then press 1. The game interprets this as a fire ball motion down, back + 1 and therefore you get the accidental special move.

Use the motion part of your stick and wiggle it around. Feels like a square right? Now slowly move it down and at the half way point before you hit the square gate you will feel a click. Right? Well once you feel that click you've passed what is called the dead zone. Motions are read once you've passed the deadzone.

Alternate controls forces you to be more precise and changes the motions up. So now that you actually have to motion down, down back, back + 1 to get a fireball. Your accidental reading of motions issue is gone. Now all you have to do is relearn how you input motions due to a more strict set of rules being read. Good luck my friend.

So u recommend going to alternative controls?? I do feel it is partly me doing as you say, not being precise with direction, but damn its hard to be precise on a stick to get just up and not any slight side movement. To be fair you can see in practice on the input stream how unprecise I am...... getting left right diagonal right then up just for an up motion...... even though I feel like im just pushing the stick up. Same with superman..... after a back 3 I do forward 2 into scoop.... press 3 and then his down forward 2 and I get a back a back 2 cummin out instead. So its def me struggling to be accurate.

So alt controls? How do I learn to b accuarate with the input though.... I.e. just gettin up3 and not left right diagonal right then final up 3?

The key is to get a feel for the deadzone and not try to grind the motions all the way to the gate. There is sort of a finess to it that you will aqcuire over time. Move it to where you feel the click and try to just use walls as guides during motions. Try to get confortable with your motions.

I would see how you do with normal controls and button release off first. Move to alternate controls if you're still having issues after that. Alternate controls will require a lot of training but ends up being worth it in the long run.
