Help: picking a new character specifically for online play

I currently main Raven. Okay that's a lie. I previously mained Raven, but haven't played the game for months as I lost access to 360 (and also had a salty rage quit). Anyway, IGAU is out on the PC now and I want to start playing it online. Problem: Raven is terrible online. Really, really terrible.

So I'm looking for a new character that will work well online. I don't care if it's a top or bottom tier char, I just want to find one that doesn't rely on lighting fast reactions which get fucked over by lag. Which characters work well in a slightly laggy environment? I was thinking either a setup-based character or somebody who can escape pressure easy and doesn't have frame-perfect combos or timing for their moves.

The characters I was looking at are:
  • Lex: my demo main - I miss that disgusting j3. Setups don't seem that hindered by lag.
  • Ares: jealous of his buffed teleport which can escape a lot of pressure on knockdown.
  • Lobo: silly easy damage and slight man-crush on Maxter
  • Nightwing: the most fun I had pressing buttons in scubby offline casuals
I have no idea if these characters are viable online. I don't care if the character has 4-6s across the board so long as a bit of lag doesn't turn them all into 3-7s. Ideally I'd like a character that requires a bit of a brain to use as unreactable (especially online) 50/50s bore me to tears. Characters I have no interest in playing: Superman (zzz), KF (zzz), Batgirl (because shit's to scrubby online), Sinestro (too close to Raven), Grundy (too salty).

IMO either Batman or Doomsday.

Batman
-Everything that makes Batman good offline from either his jumping 2 or trait makes him absolutely godlike online. His overhead low mixup game is also greatly increased as his B23 overhead is soooooo much harder to react to with the lag. Fighting good Batman players online for me at this point boils down to whether or not I have the meter to pushblock. If I do, I have a chance, if not it's a guessing game which isn't in my favor.

-Earthshaker. Nuff said.
