Help Me Fix the MLG Bracket Screwup

As you can see, the end of the bracket in both winners' and losers' is completely borked -- I need to reconstruct what happened in top8 with scores.

There's some missing VOD, so I'm having a bit of trouble putting this together.. But I can't use the data from this tournament until I fix it.

So.. What happened in top8 Raleigh, w/ scores? What did MLG get wrong?

It's not broken, that's how they actually played it. They did something strange with the brackets, there was no losers finals and winner semi finals got played twice. I think it had something to do with the continuation rule?

As for top top check NFG

However most places have me 4th and Maxter 3rd which is dumb cause we tied 3rd and 3rd

The placings should look like this based on how they did it

Yeah, I think this is the part where it gets confusing.. Because normally there's a winners final, someone gets sent to losers, plays the losers final against the losers' bracket finalist, and then that determines GFs and 3rd + 4th place.

But the MLG bracket has CDJr. and REO staying in Winners and then just playing each other for the Grand Final.

It's never incorrect.

That's why Maxter and Pig tied for 3rd, which NEVER happens at a fighting game tournament.

I don't know why, but it played out exactly like it normally would up until CD Jr - Maxter and Pig - Reo. Pig and Maxter dropped to losers and beat Perfect Legend and Showtime. After that, instead of playing each other and then the winner of that playing the loser of Cd Jr - Reo they had Cd Jr play Maxter again and Pig play Reo again and both Pig and Maxter got knocked out, leaving Reo and CD Jr to play the Grand Finals.

I think it had something to do with avoiding continuation rule in losers finals, but I really have no idea. It robbed us all of the Pig-Maxter match that we were all hyped for
