GSNA Losses

Anyone annoyed about this? "Game Session Not Available.". The personig clearly plug pulled (or however it is you do this nonsense) and not only does it count against me as a loss, but the game thinks I lost to some TS 15 teenager who can't handle giving a win to the person who beat them.
W
hy NRS? Where's the logic?

I'm with you. I hate this in this and any other game that implements losses to players who clearly win / don't disconnect.

People say records mean nothing, but check this: I play to win the game. If I win, I want it to be recorded.

Now when I lose straight-up there's no problems, issues or anything like that. Record those too.
Maybe a bit of salt depending on how I lost, but that's a personal issue and not something I bash players over.
I just take my L and move on to the next one.

But why can't I get my W if I win? Where is the logic? Is it impossible to create a system that negates this 'your opponent quits so you lose' nature?

it's a way to stop people from artificially racking up win counts and keeping their losses down. I know it sounds lame since you could just have your friend log on and throw matches for you, but obviously NRS can't stop that.

There's no legitimate way to know if your opponent really lost connection or whether they pulled the plug. It's only 1 loss in the grand scheme of things so it's not going to affect your record that badly, however, it's going to significantly affect the record of someone who does it all the time.

So, how would you purpose to stop the cheaters?

I have 758 losses. I should have about 400 being honest :/
But anyway, why doesn't NRS have a way to detect whic hside of the connection...disconnected?

I wouldn't really care if I got the win.
Just give THEM the loss.

I highly doubt that 358 of your losses came from disconnections. That's nearly half.

You probably could detect which side disconnected, but is it really worth all the extra trouble for something that happens so infrequently?

A great many of my "losses" are the opponent "disconnecting". And sometimes it's just NRS' crappy netcode that drops a game. Ok...fine. I don't understand why they can't tell which person disconnected.

I don't care terribly about my record, but the TS rank is a good gauge of general skill level...and when mine goes down for no reason...it's annoying.

This is why online sucks.

I was in a match today though and got a GSNA as I was being combo'd by my opponent (about a minute into the match). Was pissed I couldn't finish the fight and now the guy probably thinks I'm one of those ppl that leaves as soon as they get caught in a combo :/

I feel happy when people pull because ot means I did something right. I could care less about my online record for a fighting game that has the shittiest online ever. I don't care about an online " trueskill" level either. It's not like I ever win in this game anyway.

you have no idea.

As for what Yougotcaged said, i agree wholeheartedly.
W/L =/= skill.
And even though i get the loss, i never thought of how satisfying it is to see the "Game session no longer available" like that.
