Good wake-up attacks?

Does Jax have any good wake-up attacks besides his en dash punch? I know it has armor on it; the only problem is that most of the time it whiffs because my opponent is too close and is crouching. I've seen players like CD Jr. and Tyrant use en overhead smash, but everytime I try it it gets beat before it even comes out, and I end up wasting a bar of meter.

Any ideas?

I'll do energy wave if they are far away. I do gotcha or dash punch if they are close to me.
