I'm Chicago's reckoning......here to end the borrowed time you've all been living on!
There were many twists and turns this season. New players, returning favorites, huge upsets, pop offs, out of town guests, main character changes, and the question if GGA could compete nationally was answered with a resounding YES. Only two things were consistent throughout these past 13 weeks: Bane and Catwoman. After 3 weeks where Slips won 2 GBS for the remainder of the season 16 bit(that's me) and Max dominated the Ghost Battle Series. For 10 weeks in a row one of these Batman universe icons would win the tournament, often facing each other in the grand finals. Therefor it was no surprise and entirely fitting that the grand finals of this last week came down to Bane vs. Catwoman. Tied at 8 GBS wins each only one could break the new record and head into season 3 with full momentum. With Max in winners and myself in losers it started off looking strong for Selina, as the feline fatale quickly won a 3-0 reset. Max turned it up and won the first two games of the reset. With Bane on tournament and season point, Catwoman rallied and showed she still had at least one of her 9 lives left. However she was ultimately beaten in the final showdown and Max won the tournament, the season, and has taken the record for most GBS championship wins.
Also in the bracket, self proclaimed(but backed up by EVO finalists) best at using Party Crasher Lobo player Fill Pops had an excellent run, upsetting me early in the bracket. Truth couldn't make it but Jeremiah represented Babs Gordon and placed in the top 4, with a touch of Martian just to complete the meta. Mightymar debuted his new Sinestro and gave Wound Cowboy ammo to downplay in the stream chat. Much to the chagrin of M2dave Slips again used Deathstroke and placed top 3 and Vagrant took a break from grinding in KI to place 7th. Finally...Pantychrist got bodied, proving I was wrong earlier when I said only Bane and Catwoman winning was consistent this season.

That's a wrap for season 2. I don't know about you guys but I had a blast. Well at least when I wasn't salty after losing. Thanks to everyone who entered over the past 13 weeks and the loyal stream monsters who watch every week and get hype with us. Season 3 begins next week. It's a fresh start for everyone.
