There are characters against whom you cannot delay your wake-up, or at least you know you have to block when delaying. All characters have the d3 and b4 for this purpose, but some are better, while others are not as good. For example: JC's sweep is + on block, so it's definitely not a bad choice, plus it's a low.
What really interests me are other normals/special that lead to combos. For example: Jade's b2 and staff-overhead are OTG's, so you can't stay grounded and you can get comboed; Ermac's lift leads to big damage; NW's f3 does the same thing.
Some of them have untechable knockdowns which is more problematic because you have to either wake-up or delay your wake-up, so these chars have a kind of a 50/50 where they either bait you wake-up or risk to stand you off the groung (Kano is a good example).
So against these characters you have to be aware of their setups, which can consist of placing you at the right distance (like NW's throw) for an OTG follow-up, and be careful to not be baited for a wake-up attack at the same time.

i love when people delay wakeups/sleep on ground against baraka,
they either get a b32~slices or b4 which puts them into a +11 frametrap, good times
