Gear / Inventory screens - the annoyance of trashing unwanted gear

Is it just me, or is this process a little more cumbersome than it should be?

I'd like to be able to trash items right from the equip/comparison list, since they're all sorted and grouped there.

Instead, you have to back out, then move over to the Inventory screen, and find the unwanted items to trash them. If you can remember which ones you didn't want, since now you don't get to see the red and green numbers comparing it to your equipped gear. Plus, the items are not grouped by type here, which makes it even more annoying.

Currently, it's not terribly bad, since I'm low level and only managing a single loadout. But if you start to gather different sets, and want to keep multiple pieces for different scenarios, I can see this being a nightmare.

Really, just being able to trash from the loadout customization menu would be perfect. The inventory screen serves no other purpose.

So I'd like to have options to "mark for destruction" as well as "lock" or "favorite" an item to prevent destruction of unequipped items that you'd still like to keep for now. All of this from the equip menu, not the separate inventory grid screen.

Anyone agree?

Haven't played the beta, but I think little things like this are important. Stream lining gear management definitely needs to be a focus if you're going

Also, something I've been wondering, does gear drop only for the character you're playing? I'm hoping it at least mostly does that because, if anyone else played vanilla d3, when gear drops aren't targeted to the character you're using well, you can end up with characters you don't play having better stuff than your main.

It seems that priority leans toward your current character, but you do still get stuff for other characters as well. I feel like it's a good balance. I'm never annoyed or disappointed by the gear drops, though I am a loot addict so I like gearing up everyone, haha.

If it gives you any context... at the end of a stretch of matches using Supergirl exclusively, I obtained about 20 new items for Supergirl, and maybe 3-4 items each for the other 5 characters. Although it should be noted that all of the Ability gear items I've received (purple, 3 so far) were all for Supergirl. Yet strangely, all of the Epic gear (gold, some are set pieces)... all of it was for other characters, lol. I have 1-2 Epic pieces on every character except the one I use. So that may be their incentive/motivation for you to try other characters, or it may also just be my specific brand of luck.

I do hope there will be something you'll get for destroying unwanted gear. Like some sort of in-game currency or something, just so it doesn't feel wasted. Maybe something like the Krypt in MKX where you can buy little extras and such.

Though it's possible that this may be the case, as I got this one gear piece that increased the percentage of currency obtained, so... here's hoping! There's no currency whatsoever in the beta though.
