I'm not so sure about Fujin, maybe he'll have a playable chapter or something but I'm pretty sure he'll die in MKX. In the original timeline, he was attacked by Shinnok and his Army of darkness in MK4, he almost died but Liu Kang was in the area and saved him. Since Liu Kang is dead, there is no one to save Fujin.

And seriously, he was Earthrealm's protector and it took 3 games to remember the fact.

Divekick characters are notorious for being amazing in NRS games.
