Free counterbreakers during instinct mode

Hey guys,

I didn't see this posted anywhere else. I didn't find this out myself, someone did it te me online. I tried it out in trainingmode and it seems to be very easy to do.

What she can do is do counterbreakers and immediately put a web on the screen that will connect. So you will be able to continue your combo after the counterbreaker without any risk, even if your opponent did not break. During your autodouble hitstun or linker hitstun, you can do counterbreaker into web and proceed with your combo. This makes your combo near-unbreakable and can lead to high damage and ofcourse, a counterbreaker. Your opponent will not have time to react to your autodouble and has to guess which button you are using, if he is to break your combo. If your opponent does not go for breaker, nothing was lost. IIRC, any move following the web, counts as openener and as such can also not be broken (test this out, tho). If not, you can still do huge unbreakable damage with her shadow widows bite (the arial shadow move, widows bite, right?).

I can't imaging that this is not known yet, tho. It's pretty gamebreaking imo and will probably be patched along with some other filth that she has with her instinct mode.

Thoughts?

Yeah, this is really well known actually. Probably the first thing any Sadira player learns after getting her moves down and after being brainwashed into thinking she's bad

Yeah, I've just got the game for two weeks. Haven't really touched Instinct Mode until yesterday.

Pretty sick shit. And no one is actually like, this shit is OP?

Some would argue that sadira needs it. She suffers greatly when she gets knocked down because she has no wakeup game. Regardless of how you feel about it everyone knows her instinct is strong which is why when she activates the universal strategy regardless of the matchup is to run away until it expires.

Sooo... they put it in there intentionally? Because I want to know whether to incorporate this into my play or not. If it's likely to get patched, I would rather focus on playing her without relying on it.

Free counterbreaker attempts at no risk. You even increase you damage output, lol, come on!

This coming from a Sadira main, btw.

She needs it. lol...

Instinct mode in general is a powerful tool. Hers is one of the best but other characters have really good instinct modes. Orchids is often a game changer with the insane pressure she can lay on her opponent when she activates it, Fulgores is pretty insane with his 41% laser and meter building, Spinals instinct completely changes the way the match is played when he activates it.

Without her instinct Sadira is the worst character in the game, fact. Her instinct has already been nerfed to the point where it can't be used defensively and now is a offensive move only. If she misses her web then she has to wait some 3-5 seconds for the next one to be ready.

Yes, her instinct is insanely deadly in the hands of someone who knows how to use it properly but nerfing it anymore makes her useless IMO. She has zero wake up game, she doesn't have insane zoning and frame traps like Fulgore, Glacius and Jago. She can't rush you down like much of the cast (Jago, Wulf, Spinal). She has no safe specials like a lot of the cast, her manuals are harder than most of the cast and her linkers are easily broken compared to others.

I love the character for her design and play style but if they touch her instinct again I'll be like everyone else and just play Jago, Wulf or Fulgore. She has some dirt for sure but if you seriously think she doesn't need it then you haven't played Sadira for long or against a good Jago, Wulf, Fulgore, Glacius or Spinal.

I'm not super deep into KI yet, but having played Sadira for a couple months, the web makes her viable. It can mess you up in the hands of a good player, but it's a very temporary buff, and one that you're better off running from. Once it's gone, it's back to her having no wake-up game, average normals, and middling damage. It's not the best metric, but I think there's a reason I don't fight a lot of Sadiras online or see many in tournament finals. She has some massive weaknesses (which should stay as such I think), whereas Jago and Wulf are all-around solid motherfuckers.

Yea thats old tech. All the new kids are doing the dancing sadira. If you didn't know, while in instinct, Sadira can jump cancel her normals as well as her light demon blade (QCF light Punch) So basically she can loop a bunch of lightdemon blades that all count as openers and cannot be broken. Another interesting bit of info that might help, you can cancel the animation of a counter breaker bluff with instinct. Basically just hit a counter breaker and instinct command simultaneously, this is really good with Sadira since the web will come out and make you safe.
Also, to the guy that says Sadira is the worst in the game, get out of here. Not having a good wakeup tool does not make a character bad, learn to play defense. Sadira basically has x factor and she has some nasty crossup, double jump crossup and ambiguous setups. She can harass an opponent with crossups and widows bite and with throws, then once you're conditioned to look for the throws her shennanigans begin, and throws in this game have ridiculous priority but also ridiculous recovery. She can also combo off of throws. Its vital that she DOES NOT AND WILL NEVER have a viable meterless wakeup tool since you have to spend the entire match chasing her around and dealing with her air nonsense. With meter she does have a wakeup option with shadow recluse.
