For an MK9 player, tell me about Injustice,

in a style in which is to show a MK9 player how to play this game, via differences/similarities. Also, I feel this game has less damaging comboes or am I wrong compared to MK9. Also, a tier lis?

What is going on guys, Ya Boi Zyphox here.
combos do a lot more damage in this game than in mk9, there are characters that get over 50% for BnB's like grundy, the flash, black adam, superman, WW can get up there. the highest damaging character in this game by far is the flash, he does 60% off all his strings with just trait and one bar, and you build that bar back in the combo. also no dash cancels, no breakers, clash is different, and no block button. there way more but am too lazy :)

Zyphox answered all of your questions except giving you a tier list because a set list doesn't exist yet (and probably won't for a long time, until all DLC characters are out for a while). So why is this forum trash?

Similarities:
+Combo system.
+MK-esque special moves.
+Super-easy-to-do Super moves.
+Universal pop-up moves with D2.
+Universal low pokes with D1.
+Universal knockdown pokes with D3.

Differences:
-Combo system is less lenient; greater emphasis on timing.
-Slightly more damaging combos than MK9.
-1,2 and 3 are Light, Medium, and Heavy attacks. 4 is the Character Trait button.
-Press back to block, excluding low attacks.
-Press down to block, excluding overheads.
-Slower walk speeds.
-Dashes cover longer distances.
-Dashes cannot be canceled into attacks or blocking.
-Lesser amount of advancing normals.
-Universal Launchers with B3/F3. They can be Meter Burned to gain one hit of armor.
-Pushblock by using the MB button while blocking.
-Only one Breaker that becomes available after losing your first lifebar. Wager meter to gain health back or deal more damage.
-Background interactables that you can use to extend combos, throw objects at your opponent / set up explosives to hurt your opponent or to escape the corner.
-Stage Transitions that can be initiated by performing B3.
-Anti-airs are weaker.

Differences from mk is you need to know your options when you knock down your opponent and decide to pressure them, which jumpin attacks do you have with a good hitbox that can either crossover or just do a normal jump. Make sure you know what kind of knockdowns you need to guarantee or give you a good chance of a 50/50 on knockdown since blocking is now pressing the opposite side of where your opponent attacks like in traditional 2d fighting games.

In this game there aren't a lot of standing/special anti airs. If you don't want to air to air them or focus your whole game on just anti airing like I do pick a character who has good anti air, some of these are wonder woman, aquaman, deathstroke, green lantern, grundy.

Blowing up strings works different in this game, when you study a matchup make sure what strings you can backdash out of because you can whiff punish them after a backdash.

Dashing and walking works different, after you dash you can't immediately do an attack like in MK, figure out the spacing of your character...

These are just things off the top of my head right now, I would recommend you playing aquaman or wonderwoman, since I feel like during neutral they can play the most mk9 like footsies and both are at least top 10, imo top 5.
