Few questions regarding the "elseworld's skin"

I was told that I needed to do all the star lab missions to obtain it, but then I read somewhere that all I needed was 500 stars to get it. Which one is true? Do the missions in the red son pack count towards getting it? If it is 500 stars including red son missions, it seem doable. If not poor me. I really want that skin l0l

Worth it. Every time I play a Flash online I hover my cursor over the "Elseworld" letters for twenty seconds before picking my actual character, as if to taunt the fact that they don't have it for their main. The match is almost always followed by a message.
