Hello all and welcome to the Osh-Tekk invitational. I will be holding an online tournament on February 28th starting at 6PM Est.
Here's how it will work.
This will be only a 16 man tournament on Xbox live. All match-ups are first to 5's, winner keeps character and the Grand Prize is a $30 Xbox marketplace code. I would like to use this platform as an opportunity to highlight some of the lesser known players in the community which is why the entry field is so small. Basically you only need to win 4 matchups to be champion. To ensure that an "up and comer" wins I would also like to ask anyone who could be considered "pro" to not enter. Basically this means anyone who has been on the ESL stage or won any kind of major.
I will be trying to hold these once every few weeks or so and would also like to do a short web interview with whoever the eventual winner is to be posted here.
Entries will be first come first serve. Just RSVP to this event AND post in here that you would like to enter. Alternates will also be needed in case one of the first entrants dont show, so feel free to put your name in even after all 16 spots are filled.
I know 20 bucks isnt much but its a DLC pack for something or even just a big chunk off of the price of a new game.
These types of community run online tourneys were really popular during the prime days of DOAU-DOA4 and they helped to really expand the community in a major way. Something I feel the MKX community is lacking. There are a ton of really good players but sometimes they just need the motivation or the confidence builder of a tourney win (even if it is small) to encourage them to try and take it to the next level.

Also just an FYI, I will be the first entrant so thee are currently 15 spots up for grab. If I win (which I wont since I suck) any prize would go to 2nd place.
