Ex Net to end a round

I was playing ladder and the CPU did and ex Net and I did ring toss I killed the CPU but the net still hit me and took away my meter.
I'm not sure if this was brought up.
This may be something that's supposed to happen but it caught my attention.

Thoughts?

EX net has 1% chip damage. Excellent way to end a match if you're fighting someone who's meter-happy =)

I did this at Local Battles in New Jersey like a year and a half ago and freaked out the guy I was playing against. It was pretty hilarious.
