i was testing some things with smoke in practice and i found a very interesting thing about the damage scaling


as smoke if you kick the opponent then dash in and grab it only hits for 11 hits for 11% damage

now if you only throw with out kicking the other fighter it does 11 hits and 12% damage

now i also was practicing my b2 into d3 into d4 i noticed if you hit with the b2 the d3 does 0% damage where as it would normaly do 1% damage

now none of this would be an issue if it was in a combo but because each hit was individual damage scaling should not have taken affect or am i wrong?

Sometime the game registers hits as combo when they don't actually connect. I get breaker when someone jumps over me and jip's after a combo. I've seen this on more than one account when fighting scorpion. He would end his combo with teleport punch, then jump over me, jip and I, holding block and back on the d-stick, bust out the breaker. This probably has something to do with it. I can imagine that if the game registers hits as if combo when they are not, the damage scaling still applies.

Sasuga you're just breaking off the stagger effect , try breaking after kitanas' Cutting Fans ( you will breaker because after being hit by Cutting Fans you are in stagger ).

Anyway Hardwire , try watching the life bar instead of % in training mode , it's bugged afterall.

it does not add it to the combo number thow

throw alone = 11 hits

kick dash throw still shows 11 hits

i did and the life bar never moved

I'm not fully aware of smoke's arsenal despite playing a lot of smokes. I'm yet to actually do any training with him. Does the kick you do put them in a stagger hardwire? I've noticed the same thing with Ermac the other day. My throw will do 1% less damage I THINK if you hit them with a stagger. I would say its a form of scaling because your opponent has no real way out of it besides to guess whether its forward or backward. I'll look into it though and see what else I can find.
