Ducking position specials?

Ok I looked all over the threads for this and didn't see it. So my question is exactly how do you do a special from a duck in mk2? I see people post about this and they claim it reduces the frame count greatly so your move is faster. For example I see alot for scorpion's spear in a duck. How would you obtain this? I can only seem to do it with my ps3 game pad if I use the analog stick while holding the dpad but it is really awkward to do. Please any help...

In any 2D MK game, you can hold down, and tap directionals as long as the controller method you are using is good enough. It was possible in the arcades because of the 4 switch inputs for sticks and most gamepads allow for this. The idea is maintain contact with down the entire time you tap for a move.

Oh ok so I tried that it's just strange to get use to. But I guess it didn't come to my mind to just tap the directionals while holding down. Thx so much for the answer shock.

No problem. If you're using a gamepad, sometimes it can be tough depending on what one it is. I've used some D-pads in my day that simply do not allow for this. The easiest method is using a keyboard, as it is fool proof and you have 100% accuracy and never have to release down completely.

Ugh everyone here makes me want a computer so bad! Lol I do all my posts from my iPhone but i really wanna try mame. I can't stand some of the people on ps3 anyway they're hella rude if they beat u.
