Does the game check for updates in-game?

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if the game checks for updates in-game like the consoles do (on startup)?

I'm importing MK9V (I live in Australia) and I'm worried I won't be able to update the game when the - hopefully inevitable - bug-fixing patch comes out. Since I can't see MK9V in the Australian PSN store.. I'm going to be devastated if I can't update the game through the store either..

I'm not sure how the updating works but it definitely doesn't check for updates after pressing start at the main menu.

Well the updates usually show up in the live area screen (where you tap on start to launch the game) when they become available.

Yeah, that's how you get the actual patches for all games. I assumed he was talking about the hotfix check like the console version does. I prolly should have mentioned the livearea thing.

That's true I guess.. I didn't think of it that way. I just hope that live area screen doesn't attempt to connect through the local store.. otherwise I'm screwed!
