Does Kitana's tier position depend on the side she is facing?

I have been using Highborn Kitana a lot since version 1.07 and I have noticed that razors sometimes do not jail on block properly after b+1,4. I suspected the usual and inconsistent hitboxes to be the culprits, but they were not. Further testing proves that Kitana's position on the screen determines whether razors jail or not.

- b+1,4 xx razors jails every character if Kitana is facing left (player 1 side)

- b+1,4 xx razors can be backdashed or back walked if Kitana is facing right (player 2 side)

Note, however, that you can only back walk if you block b+1,4 standing. Backdashing as well as back walking leaves you vulnerable to the last hit of b+1,4,2, which results in a 24% krushing blow if you backdash.

b+2,3,1 xx razors is unaffected by screen positioning.

If you are fighting a competent Kitana player in tournament, you ideally want to start on the player 1 side so you do not get jailed.

The absolute absurdity of these properties aside, which ought to be fixed, what do you guys think? Does Kitana's tier position depend on the side she is facing? Razors deal quiet a lot of chip damage and can be "just frame" released to be +1 on block.

No. She will get poked to death regardless.
b+1,4 xx razors does around 6% of chip damage if you release three fans. If your opponent blocks around four or five b+1,4 xx razors a round, which is likely, you do the math on the chip damage. If I eat a couple of low pokes and get thrown in the post razors game, who cares? The risk versus reward ratio is in my favor considering how safely I can chip my opponent. The character is very good for this exact reason. LOL.

Its also very random on hit; b321 db2f hits twice but has to held in player one spot while all three hit immediately on player 2 side.

In the corner sometimes two razors can connect on block or hit at the same time as well so you gotta react to the hits otherwise you risk being punishable on block and having less advantage on hit.

Sadly not holding forward after db2 doesn't fix this either.

I think it definitely effects her gameplay and these hitboxes should be fixed. With that said, I believe a good Kitana player can find ways around the issues but it should be adjusted to work on all areas of the screen and all characters in the roster.

Now this is a legit problem unlike johnny players crying about forceballs whiffing, this actually destroys a whole character.
If you want to make call out like that atleast know what your talking about, before the update he whiffed every high starter dependent on gender,breathing animation or skin
No hitbox issues are a good thing

The point is the poke into pressure. You got your chip, and now Sonya/Scorpion/Cassie/Jacqui/Jax/etc. are in your face. The fact of the matter is, unlike a lot of others, Kitana isn’t very scary up close, and the patch didn’t really do anything to address it aside from the chip and inconsistent frames of razors.

Who the fuck said they were? That one issue isn't nearly as bad as the kitana one where a WHOLE SIDE fucks you up. Stop it.
