Question Delayed Armor AA (doubt)

The armor should hold them in the air for a downslash, the problem is, i can't do this midscreen.

I'm tired of getting my basic AA getting blown up by head kicks and torso kicks, so i decided to look a this, its a way to minimize it, and seems perfect to discourage such tatics.

can someone do this from midscreen?

If you're doing it off a read why not just do an instant air dagger into combo? That seems way easier, uses less meter, and is pretty safe in general.

I would, but its way harder.

upon reading a jump from midscreen at jump or just outside of jump distance instant air dagger is much better. It is safer if you mistake the jump cause its safe upon landing.
