dealing with pressure online.

I almost feel at times pressure online is relentless. I've had kitanas run me down and just jumping over and doing safe on block strings over and over till something lands.

How am I suppose to know when I can go on the offensive if the opponent has no respect or common sense to know the difference between unsafe and safe strings. Im finding it impossible to read most of these people.

Online Meta and Offline meta very rarely have a large overlap. NRS online games and offline games have even less. Sometimes in less than favorable conditions, you better just pray. Some strings that can be hit with air tight punishes, 9 times out of 10 forget about it. Somethings you have to respect due to latency. Fighting a good Jax online can be absolutely brutal, especially when you're committing yourself to just poking out and hoping there isn't a overhead punch inbound.

Let alone tele all day scorpions where half the connections allow the air teleport and in rarer cases normal teleport to be 100% safe, 33% of the time. Yeah I know the percentages I used and with the online you know what I mean. Sometimes you'll go for a punish and you'll get it. Next time, VERY SAME SCENARIO, they're able to punish you for it.

Unfortunately I'd say stick with the lower side of the execution stuff (aka) dumbing it down and worry more about slowing the pace of the game down to your speed. Online if you let someone get in its almost guaranteed they're going to get big damage at some point. Especially if you run into set play Kung Jin. LBSH the fact that Mileena's millennium start up overhead will catch you even though you could've sworn you pressed block in time and leads into you losing 30+% or 2 bars of meter if you break can absolutely suck. Good luck blocking Sonya Blade or Erron Black too.

Also online players will do things that have worked for them online, because NO one punishes them. I mean I've been in KOTH rooms and seen some ass backwards play by people who don't BLOCK in the slightest have 80+% win percentages. Then I play them and they are either going to RQ on me, not be good at all, or their lag allows their playstyle to make them an issue. There was a Kung Lao player last night that even I couldn't beat because once we got to a corner. If he teleported into a string and ended in spin. On block due to the connection I couldn't punish. He literally could spin into spin into spin into spin and because of the weird connection it might as well have been a block infinite. So then I just didn't let him near me the next time through (although i probably should've left) and QUITALITY.

It also sucks to know that some characters good damaging combos aren't viable online since against most connections it'll drop, leave you super negative, and you lost 20% off some random doing a 2 hit string launcher into Upper cut. Lol

Kitana doesn't have safe strings.
Online begs to differ. I know what's unsafe with kitana and what isnt. (for the most part anyways. Considering my best match knowledge is scorpion -_-)

But online it seems even if she finishs a unsafe combo and I go to punish it with say. F 1 2 with raiden I end up eatting her juggle kick...
