Dash cancelling into counter offence?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can dash cancel off of most normal attacks, except uppercuts or sweeps?

Now when facing pressure from a combo string. I want to use the fast attacks such as D+FP, D+ FK or D1, D3 - as they are some of your fastest attacks, plus your also croching so you can attack under Hi combo starters.

After watching recent vids, somewhat seeing this in action, is it a viable strategy to dash cancel crouching FP or crounching FK into your combo string on hit or on block of the crouching FP or FK, as a way of going into offence?

I assume most people would be in the dark with frame data, but thankfully some great people are working on it. Otherwise, coming from experience, is this play sound or safe?

It actually works in a sense that if done fast enough it will count as a combo. This makes a simple mind game, where your opponent will want to deal with it, and you can make good reads off of it.
