The past weekend brought the best of the Western Cape together in an epic battle of Mortal Kombat. The event was held in the MWEB Man Cave with 64 entries going at it in a two stage tournament. Stage one was a 6 round Swiss which set the bar for the second stage which was a top16 single elimination.

The top 16 saw some really tight matches being played but D1GamerKid came out on top after a runback against DrZol who had beaten him during the Swiss rounds.

The top 4 are going to compete in Johannesburg, South Africa at the nationals where the winner will be sent to represent South Africa at the Grand Finals at the Japan Expo in Paris, France on the 3rd of July.
