So, I believe we've come full circle, unless there are some majors coming up that I don't know about. The following are our champions and top 8 placers throughout the first year of the MKX life span. As we go over our second year I'll keep updating this list hoping to have a complete list to look back on once MKX dies which for the looks of it, it won't be happening until many years later. This will be our MKX Hall of Fame. Be proud to be in it everyone!

Is Midwest Championships a major? It only had 66 entrants and I don't know how much the pot was for. I ask 'cause I don't know what the majority bases on to decide whether a tournament is a major or not. If it is not one, I'll remove it, and if there are a few majors I left out, please let me know so I can add them to the list. If some of the events in the list are not consider majors by the majority, give me a valid reason and I'll remove it as well.

Also, it was hard and time consuming going through all the past events to come up with this list, and it was even harder finding international majors. Please link me to International "majors" so I can add them.

This thread was supposed to have a different purpose but I like what have so far so my discussion on the topic I wanted to touch will have to wait lol

So, what makes a major? What do you think about our year long champions and character champions?

The stream coverage for Defend the North was pretty ass, but AFAIK, it's a major nonetheless. Sonic won that one too so in 2015 alone, he's won 5 majors. KIT this year is his sixth.

it's the money. Sounds bad but it isn't. More money.. more players and the best players will turn up even internationals and having the best players makes the best events.

"majors" have history and have been established for years. A lot of tournaments need to build their reputation to gain major status one day.

Calling everything a major makes "majors" seem less major

Canada Cup has been added to the list. Would you mind telling me what the entrance number was and the amount of the pot? I will start looking for these two pieces of information from all the tournaments so I can add them to the list.
