Buffalo, Greater New York, Northern Pennsylvania, Greater Boston (noonches?!) and Toronto minus Sacky and @Biohazard came together about a month ago for a quick tournament, which I've been meaning to tell you all about for a long time, for personal reasons. This was the best I've ever done in MKX, and am still proud for my own relative comeback, and for creating a nice salty blow up story. I'll tell you more on that later: for now, the necessary information for the readers and viewers is immediately below:
Check it, but be wary of scratchy audio. Commentary by @NeoRussell on the audible mic, and @Flurry22 on the bad mic.
Here's the bracket! http://challonge.com/fgtmkx
The top three was streamed with poor audio quality at twitch.tv/gameonesports
Some notes on the playertags: TTT ZeroFucksGiven is better known as TTT Winter_Warz
Station is also known as Thumper/Flurry/Flipmode.
Full results, as copy pasted from our challonge bracket:

Maybe Next Time: BFGC neuby (Peep this Lasher, man. It's not just @Vman repping this nice variation.

13th place tie: BFGC Hiram Overall (Full Auto Jacqui)
BFGC Brodudeski (Kobu Jutsu Tanya)
I came into this tournament not expecting much from myself. I'd still been participating in the game's culture, and I'd been playing enhanced online, but not grinding too hard or anything. I decided I wouldn't switch characters throughout the event unless I was getting absolutely blown up, and it finally paid off for me. (Except against Honeybee, whoops.
But it paid off against one of honeybee's local friends, one Winter Warz. This is the dude who sent me to losers back at GameOn #2, and boy oh boy did I enjoy taking the dirtiest revenge on this dude.
I was up 2-1 in the set, and it was the last possible round. Winter Warz Tempest Lao threw me into the corner, and I had about 3-4% health left. As we all know this is pretty much death against Kung Lao, if he gets anything going, he'll chip you out. He had about ten percent health left, too, so things weren't looking good.
There was a hype crowd around, even non MK players.
Honeybee, either trying to get into my head or trying to keep Winter Warz aware, loudly said about me: "He's got a meter, watch the meter!"
I love Kung Jin's EX flip kick wakeup a lot. Everyone knows it. It's the most predictable panic move that any dumb Kung Jin could do. I sat in silence, and inputted DB4+ EX. I just did it. Unga, man. It caught him out of a crossover and I won the match and said "ullllllll watch THE METER!"
I'm real happy about that sly pop off. Warz wasn't. But we're still chill. That line convinced my main mayne Jake Foss to bear hug me knowing that that 3-1 was a runback from this 3-2, where Winter Warz proudly popped off on our whole city. I still love this match against his pre-patch Lao, the crowd is horrifying and fun. thirty minutes in it starts, ends around 45 minutes I think?
<3 you Warz, I'll be in Toronto hoping we meet again in bracket soon. I know that you know Shaoln KJ stuff now.
