Controller Glitch: MK9 forgets your button mapping

Whenever you unplug a controller and plug in a new one, it doesn't use the button layout set in the game's options; it goes back to the "default" layout, even if your default layout is different than the standard one.

This is a huge problem for people using arcade joysticks at tournaments. Basically, when people try to unplug/plug in their joysticks before a match, the game is going to "forget" the set buttons.

If this doesn't get patched soon, a lot of people are going to lose rounds/matches in tournaments because their buttons aren't mapped properly even though they're set up correctly.

In a tournament you can map your buttons before the match is started.

I don't see how this is a problem.

Here's why (example scenario):

Player A plays his tournament match with his official MK stick, which doesn't use default button mapping.

Player B, using an identical joystick, plays his next match on the same tournament console afterwards. He doesn't bother doing button check because his friend, Player A, was just using the exact same joystick with the same button layout.

Player B's button mappings will be wrong even though there's no reason it should work that way.

It's a realistic scenario and will happen in tournaments regularly if it doesn't get patched.

Wait, so it resets the config back to default completely? Or does it switch back to layout 1?

If it's the former, then yeah, that's definitely a problem.

on evry tournament, in evry game players start first match for button check, if its wrong or to be change they pause the game and config it most of the time, the only problem is that we dont have that option in MK :\ so player must go main menu> options> config etc.
So like Lucky Day said...i don't see the problem

I just tested this. If you unplug your stick/pad and plug in a new one the controls switch back to what ever you had saved on Layout 1. It does not switch back to default.
