Hellblazer
John Constantine, the Hellblazer.
Occult detective. Exorcist. Chain smoker. One of the most interesting characters from DC lore in my opinion, Constantine started out as a character in a chapter from the Saga of the Swamp Thing by Alan Moore. He has since then gotten his own series Hellblazer that lasted about 25 years (the longest of any series under the Vertigo imprint) before transferring over to the mainstream DC universe. He is a master of the dark arts who will often avoid combat thanks to his powers of deception and illusion, as well as straight up manipulating everyone he comes in contact with. (see Injustice Year Three for a recent example). He is still one of the good guys and can pack a serious punch, using all sorts of defensive and offensive spells to his advantage, teleporting between worlds and wielding a number of magic artifacts under his demonic trenchcoat.
His personality and popularity alone should cut him a role into the game, if not for the potential awesomeness of his gameplay. He could be a very patient character, setting up arcane traps, curses, calling upon demons, using his demon hunting gear and brawl up close. (think sort of Quan Cheese but without as many spells and with much more hell/heaven shenanigans) His trait could be a sort of special state where he calls upon the power of demons but loses health over time or something like that. He also still has some unfinished business with Batman and the Injustice universe to be honest, Swamp Thing needs a friend.
The only little downside I can see is that he is rarely seen without his trademark trenchcoat so NRS would have to work a little harder to give him cool gear but hey, I'm all in for full tux Constantine or a Zatara premium skin.
So... what do you think? Constantine, yay or nay?
