I recently discovered this fighting a hawkgirl online and it really helps in this matchup. If you use b23, but whiff the b2, the 3 can hit opponents out of the air. Everyone knows this, but if your opponent is at a high enough point when he gets hit with the 3, you have enough time to do a d1~HM or even a naked HM. Ive mostly only used this on hawkgirl but ive had success with catching opponents who were trying to jump backwards. Ill test this more to see what other combos are possible, but for now this is what ive got. hope this helps anyone in the hawkgirl matchup
