The Hypothetical Concept in terms of Mortal Kombat Imagine you've fought your way through the UMK10 Ladder. You're on the second to last or last fight, and the stage is the Portal from Deception/MK2. Behind you and your opponent, the forces of good are fighting the forces of evil. You hear "Round 1 Fight" just in time to land a hit on your foe. But the consequences of your attack reach farther than your opponent's life bar, as you notice one of your allies knocks an enemy into the portal and the sky becomes more serene: good is finally triumphing. Desperate to turn the tables, your opponent does a short three hit combo. A few of your allies have just been knocked into the portal, and now the sky becomes much more ominous: the tides have shifted. After exchanging blows (and thus lives) with your opponent, you finally knock him into the Portal himself.
