Question - Raiden Change stance button?

Is there any use for the change stance button? aside from appearance I don't see any purpose.

There's some (unintentional) stance-specific combos/blockstrings/etc. in the game, but other than that, you use it for X-Rays, block breakers, and Quan Chi's bat.

I've been wondering about this a lot after noticing how Sub 0's hit box shrinks during his 'idle for too long animation'.

The stance change button has been in MK9, Injustice and MKX for some reason and is notoriously useless.

I use it to bait opponents in rare occasions, like if hes a scrub waiting on xray opportunity, its always a chance to get blown up though
