Chameleon Explained with tabmok99

If there are two things people associate with Mortal Kombat, it's Fatalities and the palette-swapped ninjas that have given the MK Universe a surprisingly distinct personality. Evolving from the early days of just Scorpion and Sub-Zero, we've gotten a whole rainbow of ninjas to fight with, including the rainbow-clad Chameleon (not Khameleon, she's different). Incidentally, Chameleon is one character in the Mortal Kombat Universe we don't know much about.

UNTIL TODAY! tabmok99 put together a video detailing the history of the character. Whether you mained him in the Mortal Kombat Trilogy or haven't heard of him until right now, this is a pretty cool video to watch. tabmok99 goes over each iteration of Chameleon and pulls up some references in the later games you might have missed. After discussing some theories, he gets us an answer from John Tobias himself. There's not much to go off of, but I thought it was neat seeing how much history there was behind this minor character in the Mortal Kombat world. Watch it yourself down below, and why not follow tabmok99 on Twitter and Youtube while you are at it?

Love stuff like this. It's cool to see people with the same passion for the MK series as a lot of us on here.

I really wish there was a bit more mystery in MKX. There was really nothing hidden or anything like that that I can remember. I thought it was awesome when people discovered the Toasty Boost in MK9 looooooong after release.

Here's to hoping MK11 brings a little of the mystery back.

It's the same with every fighter nowadays. Used to be you'd do some crazy shit and OH MY GOD, MEWTWO IS IN THIS GAME? Now, what you see is what you get. The Chameleon line in MKX was cool, but it's a far cry from putting in a code and finding out there's a compilation ninja character you can play as
