Today the news broke that Michael Abrash has been added as a key member of the Occulus team. For those of you who don't know his history, he is one of the absolute most important developers in the history of modern computer game graphics. He pretty much wrote the bible on the modern 3d graphics era, and he was a key team member and programmer on everything from Quake to Windows NT to the Xbox team, and most recently Valve.

John Carmack (who was already on board as CTO) and Abrash are both top-level industry geniuses in their own right, and having them together on the team, with money being no object, is the recipe for an amazing product that has the potential to change a lot of things moving forward.
Mega brains + Mega bucks = Win.
In any case, I was curious to see if anyone else has been following the developments and had thoughts on them. After FrothyOmen turned me on to Star Citizen, I checked out a video of someone playing it with the Rift and it looked totally immersive.
Really curious to see what this collaboration brings.
