Question Cant do EX Puddle reset on Vanilla version?

Hey guys, ive been trying to do the ex ice puddle reset on the vanilla version of this game and it never works for me. im not using a disc, im using the "on demand" version from xbox live(but with no patches/dlc installed).

is there something im missing here, or is the on demand version not the vanilla version?

the reset im referring to is 212-iceball, ex puddle.

also, are there other resets other than expuddle and b2? when i youtube search it a bunch of vids come up, and one of them involves a normal puddle.

Test with kung lao. Set dummy to block, do a spin at point blank range. If there is push back it's vanilla. If not, it's patched

Also the dummy should be set to auto block when doing the reset. since when staying neutral, you don't get frozen by b2 if I remember correctly.
