Cannot use ANY sub zero alternate costumes.

I have both the pre-order bonus for sub zero and the skins pack. Yet I cannot select his mk1 costume in online mode and any time I try to select an alternate costume I crash when I press Start or am limited to just alt 1+alt 2 and desync when match starts.

I have tried the fix that Ed Boon posted on his twitter and it seemed to have changed nothing. I doubt that I am facing all people who haven not fixed it either because there cant be that many of them. What do I do?

I think their supposed "fix" was BS, just to give people something to do to waste their time, while sweeping the problem under the rug. I think what the REAL fix is, is to delete the Pre-Purchase DLC costume, and just keep the Klassic Skins pack, since there is no reason to have both. Also, if I get into a match where the other guy didn't bother to get the compatibility packs (my purchased DLC characters aren't available), I just pick default costumes, since pressing Start usually kills the match instantly.
