Can someone explain why batmans 12

Why does his 12 say +4 on block but when i follow up with his 9frame B1 catwoman can d1 me? I only tried with her cause i was labbing but this confuses me and it doesnt whiff can yall explain?

You might just need to tighten up the frame trap. Catwoman's D1 is 7f so it shouldn't be beating you or trading with you.

Yea its so weird even her standing 1 can full combo punish me off a +4! My friend tried it himself and it happened to him

Yea it's your timing that is off. String is definitely plus enough to frame trap with b1.

not familiar with batman but bane has similar issues, need to keep in mind the range of the move.

Test in the corner see if there is a difference, if there is then its the range, if there isn't like others have said u need to tighten up your timing

Batmans timing is pretty odd. You can push a button sooner than you think. Like a split second after he hits the second hit you can b1.
I get a lot of mileage off mashers from that frame trap alone lol.
I usually follow up with b1 ex air Batarang.
Been few times where I'll trait cancel it into overhead if you gain their respect.
 
I was having the same problem, OP. Got poked out of 12 all day. Pretty annoying. I'd try Reauxbot's suggestion, sounds pretty good.

The way I praxtice is against either firestorm or Robin.
After about 30 mins you'll get the hang of it. You have to recognize the spacing as well. 12 tends to push em a bit further away. Sometimes the kick whiffs if your using that string a bit far. Happened online quite a few times.
11 is also plus and has the threat of an overhead or trait cancel into low.

@Reauxbot @MK Peanuts @ATP2014 @TamedLizard ok so after more labbing i found the issue, if you duck the first hit of batmans 12 your able to hit him out of that frame trap but if you get hit by both hits in 12 its a frame trap...i even tried with catwomans 1f2 fiirst hit is high and second is overhead if i duck the high and block overhead i can stop the frame trap...is this a normal thing for nrs????

The first part of my sentence i didnt mean ducking his high and whiff punishing I mean if u make his high whiff then get hit with the second hit which is a mid u can then poke out of the frame trap

I wouldn't try doing that after his j2 though. The combos he can get from 123 are pretty brutal and lead to a restand vortex.

Are you sure it isn't the spacing or your timing?

@Krayzie I find this hard to believe, but maybe you kan test this?

Yea positive ive done this directly next to catwoman and off a j2 if she low blocks his high then blocks the mid she can poke out of my b33 pressure fairly consistently. Ive only tried it against her cause her d1 is far reaching

I mean technically you can be +20 and your 6 frame poke can lose to a 50 frame projectile, if you don't throw the 6 frame poke until 70 frames later. It's all about how on point you are.

that doesn't sound right. Idk though

It's online. You do have to account for that damn lag. I've played Batman enough to know for a fact that any frame trap being constantly poked out of is due to lag.
However the 12 is very plus enough to b11 someone.
I usually use 12 on someone's wake up so the secondary hit of the string hits meaty lol.
