I ran into a game freeze with a strange twist.
I was playing Ladder and reached Shao Kahn using Ermac (with continues). After a few times of him beating me like a circus monkey he did his fatality. I was practicing moves on the controller and didn't notice when the menu came up and accidently went to the player select. I switched to Raiden just for the hell of it.
When the Ladder screen loaded my character tile was still Ermac, but the name said Bug Me. When the fight started to load the camera was in the center instead of P1 side. A large mass liquid (dark red/almost brown) flowed up from the center and then the image froze. The coliseum in the background was only half loaded so the bottom half of the screen was black except for the column of blood. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the freeze. I tried the exact same steps again but it didn't happen.
