BUG: Kombat League matches get stuck in the loading screen on PC

Since the Homelander patch my Kombat League matches get stuck in the loading black screen after confirming the match and before the character dialogues. You can hear the sound effects of the stage background but the match never loads. I can´t play more than 2 or 3 matches without this happening. At this point I need to quit the game, take the L and restart in order to play.

Ive already checked the integrity of the installation and googled most common causes, nothing works. This bug doesnt happen in friendly online matches.

To me it sounds one of two things

1. you are trying to play on a mechanical harddrive

2. your update was corrupt and your game needs to be reinstalled. I've seen it where it allows people to join online matches but then characters not show up.

I can confirm this used to happen to me when playing on a HDD instead of an SSD. Never had it happen again after I switched to an SSD.

Im playing on an SSD. I suppose I can reinstall the game and see what happens.
