Brainiac Optimal Combos Video

What's up guys, I've been labbing the crap out of Brainiac and I'm just in love with this character..

This is a video I made after extensively searching for his max damage bnbs. Most of these you can end a little differently in order to keep them in the corner or change sides. Some you can end to push your opponent farther, others to keep them closer, it's really up to you. I put in a few examples of this in the video..

Anyways hope you guys enjoy it, please tag anyone else who might be interested!

Also, I completely forgot to turn on competitive mode lol sorry

Combos are optimal regardless though

Awesome stuff! I'm having a lot of fun playing this character. His air jumps make him feel unique in NRS games. I'm using it a lot and crossing people up. One guy was like, "what the hell is that, Brainiac is all over the place". The worst match ups for me are zoners that have straight air projectiles like dead shot and supergirl. I have to be very patient. Everyone else, I can just fly around the screen like a maniac. I'm definitely going to learn all of these combos and swag on 'em.

Great stuff. I was trying to hit raw shoulder charge off the b3s before, but I was never able to pop them high enough to hit 23throw after. Looks like I'll need to get back to the lab.

Speaking of, did you know you can turn on competitive mode for practice? Hit square on the level select, then L1. That'll give more reliable damage figures, since in this you're 4 levels above your opponent.

oh so your using that character not bad I have been keeping my eye on him for a while now, also how do you turn on this competitive mode on thing.

Yeah it's just a timing thing, it took me a good deal of lab time to really get comfortable with his conversions..

Yeah thanks for the info, the whole competitive mode thing I honestly can't believe I forgot to do lol.. it took a few hours to put the video together so I was way too lazy to do it again lol

As soon as Brainiac goes back to neutral pose that's when you activate the shoulder

I don't think some of these are the highest damaging...ending in tendril thrash seems to do a little more damage. like mb dive kick, b3, bf3, 12 db2 does more than ending in 231+2 especially if you meter burn

I literally just picked up Braniac this morning in practice mode. Adding to what you said, instead of 1,2 Db2 you can do a 3 Db2 for 1 to 2 % more damage

Edit:
Your 1st combo = 440. Modified with standing 3 = 452 (1 bar)
Same combo = 517 Modified with standing 3 = 532 (2 bars)

I was just randomly labbing some Brainiac today so I found some great stuff. I used some of the above to find these better combos with the hard knockdown ender for better set-play.

The hard knockdown is very useful for setting up trait. I also found his best up close normal mids were B2 (can hitconfirm and make safe-ish with 3) and Standing 3 (safe). Let me know what you think.

Also, I was using Atrocitus to test how safe his normals were at range because he has one of the farthest reaching reversals in the game.

Is it even possible to get Brainiac's D2xxBF3 to work consistently online? I can do it in practice mode, but it never seems to work online, even in low ping matches.

In the corner or in general? If you are whiffing the D2 after MB dive kick then B3 then you need to SLIGHTLY delay the D2xxBF3.
