Bodybag presence at MLG Dallas

So one of the complaints I have heard about this clan is that we dont have an offline presence. So, to blow that criticism up, I am here to announce 3 things:

1. I, BODYBAG-DTONESRC, will be attending the Game Underground tournament in Boston this weekend. I cannot wait to meet people like CRUM and some others! I believe Trifore will be there too, we can get some manga talk in =)

2. BODYBAG-OBEY, and BODYBAG-JAE will be attending MLG Dallas. I'm hella jealous of them lol, but its cool that they are going!

3. BODYBAG-VINLOKO and BODYBAG-OBEY will both be in the MLG Pig tourney.

This is all of our offline debuts, so we will probably get blown up, but its just a game, and its all for fun anyways! So if any of you are going to be at these events, please dont hesitate to come and say hi to us.

Personally, if you come up to me, and introduce yourself, I will buy you a beer at the bar. If you are going to the boston tourney, PM me and i'll give you my number so we can meet up.

Good luck man! I know bodybag has had a bad rep but I can tell you're trying hard to make them awesome. Don't forget to have like, fun and stuff lol

You realise you can't fix a bad rep when your members aren't willing to let go of childish behaviour,right?It's pretty easy to act all cool and shit when you're under the threat of getting pushed away socially offline.

Socially online? Lol, that concept amuses me. Believe it or not, MK accounts for about 3% of my life. So whatever, it's just a game

Didn't say online,i said offline,if someone acts like an asshole online it's no big deal,offline they will

A:Get their ass kicked
B:Not taken seriously
C:Fuckup way more than just online talk about ragequiting
D:Simply considered a joke by the community

And nowhere did i speak of you personally,wasn't this a clan thread?

No such thing as "just a game" when the same behaviour is exhibited elsewhere in real life or perhaps because of an event.

IMO you're too good for this clan,if they can't get off their high horses and come to TYM and redeem themselves then they deserve their fate.

If it was 'just a game', you wouldn't have put so much effort into changing their rep.

As for those that rage-quit and hate mail etc. I think people should take a screenshot and post it, so that Dtones can talk to that player and get them to change their attitude. Those are the ones letting your clan down.

Props to you Dtones, like I said in your first topic about changing their rep, I hope B-Bag appreciate your efforts to change what they started.

yeah, im sorry I misread that. Totally changes the whole meaning of it huh? lol

I dont really talk to the shitheads of the clan. i stick around because of people like Vinloko and Obey. There are some other cool people as well. Realistically, I dont think im good enough to be in a "serious" clan because I just dont take this game seriously online. I do it as an outlet to have fun. As far as the offline scene goes, this will be my first venture into that world. I never really even knew about any of the offline scene until this game came out, so its all new to me. But in the end, I will not get into a real life drama over a game. . . because I play this shit for fun. If it stops being fun, i will just stick to my surfing, snowboarding, circuit design, and general life.

If anyone does encounter this type of behavior, and can prove it, that would be most helpful. It is frustrating when I feel like I am making progress, and then read that someone is doing shit like this, so anything I can use would be good.

On the front of progress, we almost took out the killas (well, vinloko did, I was deathly ill and got beat lol) in jamessmk's OBS thingy. And we did decent against others in that Pig tourney, so its not just me making effort, its just that I am the only one who is part of the community enough to come to a site like TYM. I would wager that most people who play MK have no idea what TYM is. When I play someone really good online I will ask "are you on TYM?" and 9/10 times I get "What is TYM?" so we are a small notch, but I love it here.

Im digressing =)

So to summarize, if you do get RQ'd on, please report it to me; i'll address the issue. Thanks peeps!
