I am a new User to XBox One and basically every other xbox out there, i have always been a PC user and grew up on Sony!

I recently sold my PS4 due to controller problems with the DS4 and Online problems with Sony!
NOTE: you may not have these issues but I did!

so is what I'm asking is what does the TYM community think is the best controller on XB1 for MKX?

I know the XB1 controller is awesome, but is there other options?

what about the:
1. Xbox One Spectra Wired Controller

Price: $50

2. Rock Candy Wired Controller

Price: $40

3. Xbox One Mini Series Wired Controller

Price: $40

4. Horipad XB1

Price: $40

now that i got the low priced alternitives out of the way!!

what about a little more bank for your buck!

XB1 Elite Microsoft controller:

I'm curious to hear about other controllers as well as everyones imput on all that i have listed!

do you own one of these?what was it like?

is the standard controller suitable enough for MKX?

Let me know below, Tag all that you might know to have alternate controllers on XBone

That elite controller looks really good. Might move to xbox just for that lol
im not hating on SONY just ready for something new!

even though PS4 has XB1 beat hands down with hardware, CPU/GPU/RAM and overall sales!

i believe XB1 hooked me with the Controller options, Backwards compatibility, DVR changing to 60FPS1080p, upgrading UI to make the home screen more managable and user friendly, and the bundles they offer!

i ordered the:

Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection 500GB Bundle

btw what is everyones opinion on HALO series, i have played it a couple times and just want to know what other XBox users think of the Campaign? Online?Local multiplayer?

i am a big solo story mode player on many games!

one of my favourites was:
MGS2:

MGS3:

MGS4:

and im excited for:
MGS5 Phantom Pain:

mgs was a big deal for me, and it was based on story mode gameplay: it did it for me, how is HALO compared to that?

I'm not sure if there are any converters out there for XB1 yet. I might be getting an xbox one soon and would love to be able to continue using my PS2 controller like I did for Xbox 360

The rockcandy (the transparent blue one) feels very cheap, if i could take it back i would and just get the microsoft controller. Also i have always been a fan of halo campaign they are long and entertaining, multiplayer i used to love, but titanfall has ruined it for me, if i do play halo online i only play swat which is one shot headshots.

Halo is mainly an online shooter, but the campaign is far better than your typical COD, Battlefield, etc. Make sure you check out Killer instinct. It's a really good fighting game with amazing netcode.

I played and beat most of the halo series. I'm someone who actually doesn't really like spacey stuff and actually just avoided the campaign for awhile. When I finally jumped in i was hooked. Very fun campaign and kinda challenging for the older ones(Good cause it seems a rarity for a game to be hard now in days). The online is really really fun.. one of my fav. online shooter is halo 3. I enjoyed that game alot and it got its hours outta me but now I got a ps4. Still have my xbox 360, One thing I will miss is the exclusives that are with xbox. You can't have them all i guess. I always contemplate getting a xbox just for exclusives(already did for the wii u).. I don't know if you played gears of war series but if you didn't they are coming out with a remake i think soon for the 1st of the series. Check it out if you haven't already. Now when the Gears of War 4 drops and if its good like the 1st three Ill def. be picking a xbone up just for it.

can someone tell me some fighters to pick up on XB1 that have a block style that isn't hold back?

i like MK trigger as block!!! anything like that? is skullgirls like that?

Yeah, that's the one. It's really good. Great character balance and the netcode is great. Although, you don't block with the trigger.

Is Skullgirls on xbox? I just searched on mine and couldn't find it in the marketplace. I know they recently released Blazblue(I think it's called?) on the One. Not sure if you block with the trigger on there or not, haven't played it.

To be honest, none of them. Get a PS2/PS3 to Xbox One adapter. All 3rd party pads from last and this gen suck, they don't know how to make them anymore.

Normalize grab immunity.
I've used rock candy for my 360 and overall PDP stuff is cheap. The only time I was satisfied with their controllers is the injustice fightstick and even the buttons are meh but that's nothing too big plus I can switch them out.

As for the others:
Who makes the spectra? All those colors actually looks cheap to me
I personally don't like playing on a mini, but if you got the hands for it maybe. Once again that looks cheap.
I don't know how good that hori pad is but that's probably your best choice based off of name alone.
No way am I spending 100 on a xbox controller with extra buttons. (wonder if that'll be tourney legal.)

There are one or two converters to use on an xbox one if you're interested in those.

At first I was like... Oh great, how the fuck am I gonna play MKX on this garbage ass XBONE controller. Weird ass D-Pad placement was my first worry. Over time, I became used to it and eventually realized with it's superior bumpers, triggers and actual D-Pad precision... that the XBONE controller is actually much better than the PS4 controller IMO. And this is coming from someone who by choice, used PS controllers on my XBOX 360 with converters for fighting games, and has always had the opinion of a PS4 over XBOX controller for fighting games [prior to this gen].

For the Xbone, I would just stick with the official xbone controller or a ps2/ps3 adapter. Avoid the Horipad. That controller is a rotten piece of junk.

I bought the spectra controller and returned it the next day. The RT button and two of the face buttons were sticking and made any game unplayable. The xbone controller is your best bet. The elite might be good too but i really dont know. DoNOT get the MKX pdp contoller!! I kust bought a ps4 and the Hori FC4 and i love it. Hope they make a xbone version or at least a legal converter to use the ps4 one

The standard controller is your best bet unless you wanna for out the 150 for the elite when it comes out. I bought the mini series, it's a great little backup controller for casual gaming, I don't mind it for assassin's creed and stuff but I almost blew a gasket trying to play mkx on it one night.

I have the XBOX Mini controller you have pictured and I can tell you from personal experience that it is the worst piece of trash EVER. I bought it because it was cheap so I could play diablo with my wife. I have had a few occasions when my wireless controller died mid-match and I was forced to use it and I hate every single second of playing MKX with that controller
