Best character for beginners?

Maybe it's too early to tell, but what in your opinion is the most beginner (new to fighting games in general) friendly character?

For example, I've heard @Tom Brady say it would be Kung Jin and Cryomancer Sub-Zero due to their easy combos. Others said Scorpion would be easy to pick up, but hard to master.

Shinnok, Scorpion and Kano all have only a couple of combo strings, they are pretty easy to learn if you ask me.
Not sure about Kung Jin, he's actually one of the few characters I didn't even bother with yet.
Liu Kang is good for beginners also, perhaps the best one actually.
His combo strings are easy, and he does a lot of damage.

I think Takeda is also a good one to pick up, but he can be very tricky in terms of timing combo's so might not be so great for beginners.

Liu Kang, Cryomancer Sub Zero, and our good friend LaSher Takeda. Only Lasher due to its straight forward platstyle and god like anti air df1.

But another slightly more complex beginning charcter no one mentions as relatively easy is Ferra/torr. They are a very straight forward tandem. Especially the enhanced Torr one. Easy big damage and access to a god like overhead, a god like low, mediocre command throw, but that roll and ferra tosses bring it together.
